You know how there are those songs that come on and you forget where you are and start to shimmy? You know how Monday mornings suck? Well, let’s combine the two. Every Monday I’ll post another video that always gets me shaking my groove thing. You can either try not to dance (as a challenge to my DJing skills) or dance like everyone is watching and you just don’t give a shit anyway.

This Monday’s offering: Walk of Life by Dire Straits

We went to a Kid’s Christmas and Tree Decorating party yesterday and my friend was playing her 80s rock playlist. I sang along, in a crowd of people, and danced around with my daughter without a single care in the world.

And I didn’t know everyone there…

If a genre of music is good enough to get me dancing in public (in front of a few virtual strangers) then it’s good enough for Monday morning. Especially when Dire Straits is in that genre. Especially when you can do the walk of life.
